Default Early in the WSOP $5k NL, TT vs. Alan Goehring

First of all I want to say that I'm predominately a cash game player so my tendancies are usually to "get it in" and forget about "preserving my tournament life" etc.. etc.. but this spot kind of has me baffled.

Starting stacks were T10,000. I've dwindled to T6,600 after getting rivered and folding to 3bet squeezes and being shown aces etc.. etc.. and I'm probably visibly humiliated about having this shortstack in this deepstack tournament.

Blinds 100/200.
Ram Vaswani just gets to the table, and limps UTG, I raise to 800 with T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] from MP, Alan Goehring calls from the BB, Ram calls. Both players have me covered.

Flop: 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (pot=T2500)
Alan leads for T1000, Ram folds, I..?

alan plays really unorthodox, but i cant see folding or flatcalling as optimal options.

cant really see not shoving but am open to suggestion

-Is he likely to fire another barrel if we flat call here?
-If the turn is a heart, are we through with the hand?
-What if the turn is not a heart?

The size of the bet to me looks like he's trying to see a cheap turn, but doestn't want to check and let you lead at the pot.
We can't make a raise to see where we are cuz almost any kind of decent raise commits us.
I'd say pushing is optimal, but I dont' see too much that he would call with that we can beat.

I would push with overpair and flush draw.

I have heard Alan plays a little weird also. I would just shove here, there's enough in the pot and if behind you almost always have some decent equity, and I guess you could get looked up by a pair that puts you on the Ah.

Don't predominantly live players have much wider preflop calling ranges and this could easily be 9x with a heart? Or am I way off because of selective hands being displayed on tv?

I would shove here anyhow.

Yeah I just shove here. Go for a big stack, at least it seems not having one is upsetting.

I'd shove. I've played with Alan a couple times and while I didn't encounter a situation quite like this I would be tempted to think he's leading something semi strong here, that you are ahead of. If you were deeper I'd probably just call and play a turn, but I think with your stack you're fine getting it in here.
