sorry, completely off topic but what is the bbl% on tourny manager?

[/ QUOTE ]

The Bbl% measures your percentage of avoiding the bubble. Therefore if you have a number around the 75% you are deemed to be doine fine as you cash in 3/4 tournaments. when you make it to 4 handed

On a side-note, I currently play on PP and the rake at the $3's is horrible (25%). Even though the rake isn't much better at the $6's (20%) is it worth taking a shot at this level? My current roll is around the $250 mark.

[/ QUOTE ]

I would definitely be trying to get to the 11s as fast as possible if I were you. How many tables are you playing? As soon as you can feel comfortable, move up to the $11s and play TAG and own them.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm currently 2-tabling at the moment. My ROI at the $3's is 15% after 232 games. A very small sample size I know. So you mean just jump from the $3's to the $11's? Is the skill level THAT bad at PP? I knew it was soft but geez...

[/ QUOTE ]

25% and 20% rake is awful. It must be very difficult to beat it over a decent sample. If you can, then you are almost certainly food enough to beat the $11s. If you don't have the bank roll, move to Stars for the $3.40s, $5.50s or $6.50s. Once you have your roll move back to PP if you like. You also get loyalty points at Stars for SNGs whcih you don't for PP.

[/ QUOTE ]

Well at the moment I've got enough for just over 20 buy-ins at the $11's. The $3's are hard to beat obviously as the rake is killing me. I think I'm gonna take a shot and see if I can make a run. I originally was planning on moving to the $6's but the rake there is just as bad, so I think the $11's will be worth the shot. If I run bad the first few games should I move back down to the $3's or carry on grinding the $11's?

This is about 2/3 FTP 24T and 1/3 FTP 36T

My overall ROI is 5% over 2300. 6% at the 24s over 1530 and 4% at the 36s over 770. Would you guys say I have some serious leaks?

I just started playing again this week after taking almost 2 months off after my last downswing.

Thank you for any advice.

12-15% should be possible at the 36s so you probably have some room for improvement although it could just be variance. Resist the urge to take such a long break, move down instead; study of ICM builds on itself and taking that long a break can put you back to square one.

The $11's are a pile of piss.

Just had my first session of 8 games (2-tabling) and made $62 in just under 2 hours. I know it's not a big enough size to determine my success at this level, but I'm just wondering why I never found out about this before....

I would say you have the ability to improve your ROI. I don't see why you couldn't have a number in the low teens.

Noticed a 9 man $35+3 turbo last night (not a sat). I'd not spotted it before - are they new? Anyone played them?

I recently moved up to 11$ and till 400 games I was doing ok, +420$ but the next 100 games were a disaster so now after 500 I'm pretty much brake even at this point. Is that normal?

Dont really think a 40 buyin downswing at 11 is normal. If I where you, I would go over all of the tourneys.

Hard to say. One of the hardest things in poker is working out whether changes in results are due to variance or your play. One thing's for sure, there's always room for improvement.

That said, losing $400 in 100 £11s is a pretty bad run and should be very unusual (though not impossible) if you are good enough to beat the $11s generally. If you are getting a lot of 7ths-9ths, you need to tighten up early (and probably a lot more than you think). If you are getting bubbled a lot, work on your ICM.
