Re: Night shift jobs for college students?
Do you have to be 21 to drive one of those trucks?
I know that's a law in Wisconsin, not sure if it's the same everywhere... |

security is where it's at, my buddy works in a fenced in parking lot where he sits in his car and watches DVDs unsupervised.

Re: Night shift jobs for college students?
i work a night shift in a steal factory, pay is pretty solid 13 a hour, however the hours are pretty rough being 60 hour weeks, 4.30 PM to 5 AM, and also my co-worker is a 18 year old high school dropout.

Re: Night shift jobs for college students?
If you actually meant a 'steel' factory, then you are definitely getting shafted. Steel factory workers up here make like $26/hr and up. Are you sure you aren't the dropout?

Re: Night shift jobs for college students?
Get a job working in a mental health group home on the overninght shift when everyone is sleeping. Some are awake overnight shifts (lots of them people routinely sleep 1/2 or more of the shift anyway) and some are asleep overnight (less pay).
YOu will have plenty of time to do your schoolwork and if you bring a laptop you can use it to play poker on as well (can't really download poker clients on their computer lol). Just make sure you work in a 'high functioning' (as in the clients are not going to be going spastic or need much in the way of assistance/monitoring except for with the am routines of breakfast/medication. |

[ QUOTE ]
i worked part time for UPS for about 3 months and it sucked , worst job i ever had in my life nighttime security/doorman at a hotel or at a condo...pretty chill job , nothing really happens ..get 2 play psp/ds for hours on end ...it is a real boring job tho but no manual labor ... [/ QUOTE ] What's perfect about this kind of job for a college student is that you can get in a couple hours of studying over the course of the night. So, it's like getting paid to study, and you have more free time when you're not working or in school. |
