Default how do play this hand?

I was new to a 1/2 nl table, only played a few hands, and picked up AK utg. I raised it to 12 ( I had 150 in front of me and the other players had me covered), and had three callers. Flop is A25, with the 2 and 5 being diamonds. I bet out 15, one person calls, then next person raises it to 45. Folded to me. What should I do? I do not have a diamond.

OK, I don't understand your flop bet. WHy not bet the pot or something close, here you look like you are on a draw. So, the guy behind you is probably on a draw too, since he just called. Then 3rd guy says he has a big hand, which could be anything from JJ to a set.

I think calling is out of the question because it would let the next guy draw cheap. Folding is not all bad because you really have no idea where you stand, but you have a decent hand which looks weaker than it is. So, I shove.

Next time, maybe bet the flop like you mean it?

Agree that the flop bet is way too weak. Bet at least $40, but probably closer to $45.

As played, push or fold. I'd push.

Live 1/2 games are generally very weak, so you could be getting raised by something like A7. As played, a fold isn't terrible, but I'd shove. Bet $40 on the flop, though.

I agree with the other posters. Bet on the flop should be $40. As played shove - ride the variance wave.

such a little bet looks like a blocking bet, and it's being ridden over as such. That actually indicates the guy raising has got an okay but not terrific hand, so you're most likely ahead here, so push.

easy push but bet more next time. The problem with betting so little is its inducing someone to come over the top so once they do I don't see how you can ever lay this hand down.

Bet more on the flop ($40-$50). As played, push.

Live play? Shove and high five the person next to you.
