He insta-called that was pretty wild. Must have had a nice read on the guy. Goes back to the a6/q7 hand I guess. Guy was determined to outplay Phil a pot I think, although he said in the interview it was unlikely Phil hit the flop. Uhhh...and you decide this because? How about a feeler bet son?

[/ QUOTE ]

Post-bust interview he said Phil was on his game and there was no way he wasn't going to win it.

I agree. Whenever Phil insta-calls someone he either has the nuts or he has been setting them up for awhile and is just waiting for them to make a move. Phil's style is to fold fold fold and make you think you can run him over. Then he picks up a hand and its all over.

Big props to Phil H. I'm fairly certain that this is the largest field he has won at 2,628 runners. It's also the second-largest prize he's won at the WSOP (or anywhere?), with only his 1989 main event victory surpassing it. I'm also fairly certain this will still have no slowing effect on the number of "Hellmuth is a donk" threads the TV forum gets every month.

Well, there was that insta-call he made on barry greenstein with kq lol. Youtube that one pretty funny. Phil beats the hell out of amateurs and hands like that show you why, but the side game pros bust him there.

Phil = real deal.

PHIL IS THE MAN. The guy was relentlessly aggressive with two tables left and multiplied his stack. The guy makes great reads/calls, switches gears, and plays a complete game. He just beat 2,627 players at the WSOP. He has won 11 bracelets. The WSOP is THE GAME. It is the acknowledged battleground where people prove who is the best and who is not. That's it. Props to the great Allen Cunningham too.

Guy got chopped down to 500k and stacked off with ATs. Phil called with A3o and flopped the trey. It held up and PH wins #11.

Philachack's play was pretty brutal toward the end.. way too tight given the stack differential.

Congrats to Phil... 11 is unbelievable. He's full of himself as always but when you win 11 you can be.
