Villain is 29/18/1.25 over about 500 hands. Hero is about 19/14/3

Perfect?

Even if you are behind to like, AK, AQ (or more likely due to the flat call, AJ/AT) you've got 12 outs to catch up so your as good as even money.

Some times I guess your going too see 88/66 but not nearly enough to make this anything but all in on flop, its much easier than having to call a PSB on the turn when that 5c rolls off thats for sure.

standard. nh. you don't need to post any action after your shove (sometimes it can skew people's thoughts).

I don't agree with the shove here. Villain most likely has an A that beats us and when he calls our shove I think we lose more than we win here. I would call his flop raise and re-evaluate on the turn.

Is this play +EV in the long run? My instincts tell me it's close but i'm not sure of the maths involved.

Mathmatically I think you're 50/50, but don't forget you are getting fold equity. AJ, AQ, AT, A9 might all lay down.

I'm not so sure this is as standard as everyone is saying, but I don't understand the maths very well either so I could be way off-beam.
