Default Another BBV from Court: Batting .500 on Client Following Advice

Court-appointed to represent the town drunk on his drunk in public and disorderly conduct charges. Has over 30 prior D.I.P.s. Guy finally shows up in my office the day before trial in circuit court. Drunk, naturally. Asks me what he should do differently than when he goes to district court. He's scared, because he doesn't own a suit and thinks he needs one for what he calls, "the high court." I reassure him, tell him that the judge will understand as long as he 1. wears the best clothes he has, and 2. shows up SOBER.

At court the next day:

Brag: Client shows up in the best clothes he has.
Beat: Client is so drunk he can hardly stand.
Variance: "Best clothes he has" = a 1970s era powder blue tuxedo with a white shirt with pink-tipped ruffles.

The judge, a decent sort, sent him home to "change clothes," and, incidentally, sober up some.

I would be interested in seeing a pic of this suit you speak of.

Basically this one. But the ruffles were pink-tipped, and the lapels were wider.
