OS/X Bankroll manager
Between poker I develop software for a living and I've been looking at developing some software to help me manage my bankroll (I'm a live player primarily). I'd like to make this for OS/X but I'm wondering if anyone knows of any similar software for windows or if anyone would be interested in contributing ideas for the project (particularly formulas or graphs they feel would be neccessary)?
Any thoughts or critique apreachiated. |

Re: OS/X Bankroll manager
A simple spreadsheet is sufficient for most of us.
Here's a link to a derivation of basic bankroll formulas. (See BruceZ's posts in that thread.) |

Re: OS/X Bankroll manager
I think you are going to have to explain what you mean by "manage your bankroll". If you mean tracking your wins and losses, there is a Windows program called StatKing that is a poker database for session results. It can make graphs and calculate your variance and so forth. Online players use PokerTracker which automatically tracks online play.
I would guess that the majority of people who do something like use for live play use Excel rather than a custom program. |

[/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] If you just need the resulting equations, here they are: B= -(S^2/2u)ln(r) r= exp(-2uB/S^2) Where u is win rate, S is standard deviation, r is risk of ruin, and B is bankroll. You can put the equations in a spreadsheet to play with some numbers, or you can try an online calculator. |
