Questionable call downs in Oceanside
UTG limps, UTG+1 limps, MP guys limps, I pump AQo in the CO and the blinds calls
A64 two hearts Same Asian lady leads out, fold, fold, I raise, fold, fold, and then she three-bets. It seems like calling down here should be the play but you always lose. Next: UTG limps, I pump KJh, two caller + the blinds JT6 all diamonds flop and UTG leads out, I raise, one caller behind and then UTG three bets. UTG has been losing money at a fairly decent clip and playing a wide range of hands. Turn is a low offsuit card. UTG bets, call call River is offsuit K and UTG bets again, I have to call right? Is the turn ok given that this guy bet again? |

Re: Questionable call downs in Oceanside
Hand one is read-dependent. Has she been crazy? Passive? Any body language tells? Without reads I would call down.
Hand 2 I would definitely just call the flop and reevaluate on the turn; the board is really coordinated and your hand is quite mediocre. I'd probably raise a safe turn card and fold a non-safe card. As played I think the turn is an easy fold, and the river is still a fold even with 2 pair. The flop 3-bet is a good indicator that you are crushed. |

Re: Questionable call downs in Oceanside
Why do we want to just call the flop? Obviously big diamond draws arent folding but dont we want to fold out hands like Tx9d that might call for one bet?
Try to play the pot HU with UTG who could have just the Ad, maybe QdJx, whatever else... Thanks guys |
