Default West Virginia Vote is Tomorrow June 9th (For Table Games)

If you know someone in the counties involved give them a call and tell them to vote. I heard that it may be close in Jefferson county (closest county to DC). I plan on voting early and often.

The Vote NO people have been sending out alot of emails and flyers. The Vote YES people came by my house 2 times yesterday and 4 times total. (YES is for the table games)

Considering I live an hour away from Charles Town (Hagerstown MD) I'm crossing my fingers for this.

We are hoping here in WV, actually a similar vote PASSED in Lewis County, WV several years ago after the Greenbier vote was defeated and yes, there is a qualifing building in Lewis County.

The agrument over the vote legality went all the way to WV Supreme Court and was ruled valid.

This August 29 the state is auctioning off the West Virginia Insane Asylum. Perhaps if the votes fail in the other counties it will be Lewis that ends up with the casino.

BTW, the yea vote in LC was 62+% in favor and had the support of SEVERAL churches. Jobs were / are more important than sin, lol.

I am in DC so a yes vote would be huge. When will the results be announced? I take it there are no exit polls....

Uh oh.

"Meanwhile, a measure to authorize table games at Charles Town Races & Slots was trailing in Jefferson County 1,228 to 1,033 with votes in eight of the county's 30 precincts counted, county officials there said."
