Re: Folding AK to a 3bet
With your read I think you can let this go. We're hoping for AJs/AQ here, plus you're OOP.

Re: Folding AK to a 3bet
I don't understand this. Those are just some stats over a small sample. Don't you think villain could have more than just AA/KK/QQ/AK? I know it sucks to be oop with a hand that misses most of the time, but isn't that still a call?

Re: Folding AK to a 3bet
I'm going to challenge the wisdom on this.
Text results appended to pokerstove.txt 145,545,840 games 0.062 secs 2,347,513,548 games/sec Board: Dead: equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 44.584% 38.62% 05.96% 56207902 8681678.50 { 88+, ATs+, KTs+, QJs, AJo+ } Hand 1: 55.416% 49.45% 05.96% 71974581 8681678.50 { AsKh } That's the top 8% of hands, which is his raising range. We are still ahead of it, and he is probably raising even a little wider, seeing as he is the first player in in the CO. We will be OOP, but if the player is bad, we can still outplay him post flop. I say this is a call. |

Re: Folding AK to a 3bet
4-bet or fold. Problem with AK is when an A or K flops, your probably only getting action when your beat. Assuming a weaker Ace is not in his range.
