Default small set what next?

No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $1/$2 Blinds - 6 Players
SB: $342.70
BB: $200.00
UTG: $232.20
MP: $480.25
CO: $724.50
Hero (BTN): $720.50

Preflop: Hero is dealt 9s 9c (6 Players)
UTG folds, MP raises to $8.00, CO folds, Hero calls $8.00, 2 folds

Flop: ($19) 9h Qs Js (2 Players)
MP bets $16.00, Hero raises to $40.00, MP raises to $150.00 hero?

imo opinion I got higher equity vs his JJ++ KTs QJs here after AI so push now?

wow sick spot. youre so deep that i cant really see him 3betting the flop with a draw. i would expect him to just call your raise if he had spades or 9T, JT, QT.

that being said, you beat AA/KK (3betting the flop would be pretty bad with those tho) and QJ. Youre behind 8Ts, KTs, JJ, QQ. maaaaaybe AKss.
i dont like pushing but im not sure what the best play is now.

i'd raise and then shove over his reraise. but since op doesn't seem to be confident about getting all in, i don't like his raise.

Effective stack is 240bb - really not *that* scary. It's not like it's 3-4 buy-in's each.

There are just sooooo many hands here he could have that you beat or that you need to protet against. I would just put him in right now.

Edit: If you are so scared to get it in on this kind of hand, you might like to leave a table when ur deeper than what you are comfortable with.

this is not my hand exactly I 3bet here always, in hand I would call flop raise and push/callAI, villain is 22/17/13 after about 50 hands
