NL$10 flopped set in multiway pot - okay to slowplay?
I'm wondering if my flop check/call and turn check/raise were okay with so many opponents. What do you guys think?

Re: NL$10 flopped set in multiway pot - okay to slowplay?
I like a flop bet/3-bet instead of a flat call. Too many draws to flat-call.
Given that you did, turn play looks good although I would just check-raise all in as any other meaningful bet-size commits you. |

You missed two opportunities to get value with middle set on a drawy (but not scary) flop in a multiway pot. Raise!
Looks like you ran into KK? |

Re: NL$10 flopped set in multiway pot - okay to slowplay?
I think you can make a case for either, and your play on the flop is fine IMO. Most of the time with UTG's raise and leading the flop he is holding overcards or overpair and UTG+1 is dragged along with a draw or TPGK, so usually I do raise this flop to ~ $2.50 to narrow their holdings. Against 1 opponent I might play the flop and turn as you did. Also your turn raise should definately be more. As played, raise the turn to ~ $4.50, which should help you get all the money in on the turn. I think check/pushing is pretty bad, as you give the UTG a chance to get away from an overpair or TPTK. I think UTG is holding AA, KK, or AK here personally (leaning to AK).

Thanks for the help guys. Luckily UTG had AA and I stacked him.

I don't like slow-playing, especially with this many players and a flush draw.
Funny, villain slow-played his As; not that the result would have been any different. |
