Thread has been moved. I win. What's the point of having multiple forums if everyone feels they can post wherever they feel like? People should take 5 seconds to consider where their thread is most appropriate.

I'm new to posting here, but been trolling for a while. It's amazing how much some of you guys love to [stroke eachother's egos] when it comes to how good at poker you are.

Don't get me wrong, most members here seem like good people. But really, what good does posting "I'm so f-ing good at poker I don't bother playing with the likes of you" do anybody? Try to remember what it was like before you were gods gift to poker, and try and add something worth tryping as an answer to a valid question.

LOL. There are no tough live 1/2 tables.

If you took the bottom 20% of 2p2ers that have at least 100 posts in ANY strat forum they'd be +++EV at any live 1/2 game I've ever played in.

I have played 1/2 at almost all the AC Casinos. I'm still (relatively) new at B&M poker (after some success at online tourneys), and I'm trying to make my way and learn how to play live cash games.
I'm not saying 1/2 is filled with skilled players who really understand the theory behind the game. In fact I'm convinced most of them learned to play poker on TV. Unfortunately my bankroll doesn't really justify playing anything much higher.
All I'm saying is that when a guy asks a question like this, telling him "Only donkeys and retards play 1/2" isn't helpful to anyone.

There are no really tough 1/2 NL games, but some games are tougher than others.

Although it's true that most 2p2ers can beat almost any 1/2NL game, there's definately a huge +EV at certain games over others. Sure you can grind out by picking up small pots against some rocks, but I'd much rather find a game where people are just throwing money around (drunk/tourists/gamblers).

T Money has a point:

I realize most 1/2nl live games are soft relative to online, etc. etc., but if they were as easy as everyone here suggests you'd all give up online poker 12-tabling 25NL and start rolling tourists.

Yes, it's a game you can beat. But, no, not everyone at borgata 1/2nl is a drooling idiot. And, the drooling idiots, drunks, conventionists are taken by the first guy with a clue who has the cards. If you have 27o 3 times in a row while another guy cleans the idiot, you have to wait for another one to show up.

Truth is, last couple of times I've been, at least half of the table is making bets relative to pot-size, raising expected amounts relative to BB, re-raising where appropriate, etc. In other words, it's not exactly like 5/10 play money at pokerstars. So, I agree, comments like "you can make $400/hr at 1/2nl at your local casino if you're not braindead" aren't really helpful
