Re: FTP NL 100 KK IP,
I can't imagine raising anywhere because I'm pretty sure we would fold all things we have beat unless there's been some major history.
I would just call down. Folding anywhere seems weak considering he c/r 2.5x then half potted turn+river. If I had to guess a hand, I would say an oddly played AJ that was trying to get value from medium pairs. |

Re: FTP NL 100 KK IP,
I'd be really tempted to shove the river over that bet size, but in practice I probably just call against someone I have some respect for.

Re: FTP NL 100 KK IP,
AJ or QQ. I'm kind of suspisious of a set here, but I don't think I get away from this. I think a call down is fine.

[/ QUOTE ] I have attempted to incorporate thin river raises into my game over the past couple of days and it doesn't really work because people at SSNL put you on the nuts if you raise the river. It's basically turning your hand into a bluff. |

It's just that in my experience we're nearly always ahead against this type of player when he sizes his bets this small. I see passive donks bet similar amount with the nuts, but this type of player is definitely good at one thing: value betting the nuts strongly. Because that's how he makes his money against calling stations. So when he's betting weakly, it's usually because he has a hand he's not sure about. Then again, that means he won't be paying you off if you make a big raise. Minraise river FTW? |

Re: FTP NL 100 KK IP,
why do u shove the turn orange? would be tempted to raise on the river. if he had a hand u beat surely he would raise more (would expect a set to bet around fiddy)? although u could take the GP line of not getting yourself in a tough spot by raising here.

Re: FTP NL 100 KK IP,
I don't understand a turn shove...seems like only worse hands fold and better hands call. AJ is the only hand in his range that *might* call.
I like the pot control by OP and like the way the hand was played overall. |
