$50nl: Bet all Streets with AK?
Villain is bad, like 55/10/2.

Against this opponent though I don't feel like that is necessary. I am just having difficulty deciding what types of boards deem checking on the turn and river necessary and which don't. Should I bet all 3 streets? Bet more on the river perhaps? |

yep i would normally bet all 3 streets against these sorts of players. i maybe bet more on the river. i might want a read that they overvalue top pair before i don that though.

Re: $50nl: Bet all Streets with AK?
yes i think this is a good line and a good spot to bet all streets w TPTK. villain likely has a weaker K or pair TT-QQ maybe even a 9. yes he could be slow playing you but if you feel villain is a station i think this was well played.
as for texture, this is about as dry a flop as you can get. there are no real draws anywhere. if you want to keep pot smaller i think you check the turn and bet the river looking to induce a light call if villain checked behind turn. also, you are oop. so since this board is dry you cant really bet flop and turn and then check river hoping to induce bluff (as there is no obvious bluff to induce). so, again, if you are not going to bet every street here, check turn. but i still like your line the best of betting every street. |

Re: $50nl: Bet all Streets with AK?
Against a very poor player I play virtually identically to how you did. The chances of him having KQ or some mid pair in this spot are ridiculous and you'll make way more money in the long run betting all streets for value as opposed to controlling the pot on the turn.

Re: $50nl: Bet all Streets with AK?
I think villain raises turn with better hands. Against a bad player like this I think it's crucial that you size your bets on the flop and the turn so that you can value push the river for less than a pot sized bet.
This means you should bet at least $4 on flop, at least $10 on turn, and shove river and get called by KT-KQ a large percentage of the time. If he's bad, he will call. |

bet 17-20 on the river into 28, not 13, if he calls 13 he will call 17-20 too, from my experience, your losing $5 here.
