I believe there is too much coincidence here in the numbers. Brian is either up 50k, or down 450k. Considering Sammy offered to flip him for 450k, wouldn't that lead us to believe that Sammy is up 450k overall and was giving brian a chance to win his money back? It's also one helluva ego shot against Brian, Sammy letting Brian know he doesn't even care about the 450k he just took off of him.
Just seems like way too much of a coincidence for Abba to have been down 500k on day one, says he's up 50k now, and then Sammy offering to flip for 450k. I think Brian may have mistyped something.

Brian typed that Sammy wanted to flip for his LAST 470k.

THIS IS NOT CONFUSING MORANS

well brian was down 500k the first day.

then said he was up 50k the next day (overall on the match, not on the day)

therfore, if someone thought he meant 50k up for only the 2nd day, not the match, then that would mislead them to believe that -500k + 50k = brian is -450k for the match?

Pittm,

No, I actually know people in casino credit who can help out with stuff like that.

Mainly I just found it funny that after:

a) Playing 500/1k NL/PLO and losing 500k.
b) Playing 1k/2k NL/PLO and being down 1M+, then coming back.
c) Flipping for 100k twice

Brian then seems to feel the need to explain how he really would be willing to flip for half a million, he just didn't because getting money to Vegas is a pain.

3) I have no idea who has the skill edge here given the nature of the uncapped game. I think brian is more talented because I think the best players play online and brian is the best online NL player. However, you can't overlook the fact that these stakes are the highest he's ever played and that might get to his head if he runs bad. You also can't overlook the fact that sammy has more experience with very deep stacked PLO and NL and seems to have endless funds.

poker's not chess. there are no incomprehensibly subtle positional sacrifices in poker. at high stakes, esp big bet, the dominant determiner of success, I think, (once you get the basic fundamentals) is how patently fearless you are of losing gigantic amounts of money in the blink of an eye. who actually has the edge there?
