ok im a better player playing live and im really bad playing on the net is there anything that i can do to play better on the net and also bring my live play up too? [/ QUOTE ] I haven't played in a casino but at first, when I play with my buddies, I play looser since I'll outplay them anyway. They just don't know how to play. On the internet, basic knowledge is either up a little, which means that you should play a little bit tighter in your online play. (This may be debateable.) Or, the play is down, since it's "no money" for the one playing, then your variance goes up and you should still play tighter then live. Some basic things that I experience apply to the internet too: Withough reads, hardly ever bluff if the victim don't show obvious weakness. Don't semi-bluff-check-raise all-in on the river. |

[/ QUOTE ] Not enough information to go on here. You don't say what games (HE, Omaha, Stud?). Cash games or tournaments? Do you multi-table or just play 1 table per session? How long have you been playing poker? Read any books? Do you use PokerTracker for online play to help find leaks? Speaking on what little you gave us: Look into purchasing PokerTracker. Play a lot. Use the software to help identify your leaks. |

Re: internet vs live play
Just play the same game as you play in the casino, and after a while if you feel you need to make any adjustments go ahead and do so. For the most part I play the same on the net as I do live.

Mo, lol at your avatar... wonder if it will last...
Like runout said, Live is softer for the lower limits that most people play. Just got back from Vegas (Golf and other business) and played 4 small tourneys. Placed 2nd in one and 3rd in another. Mostly tourists and most of them do not play that great. Read HOH1 & 2 and you'll do fine online and in cash games... |
