Generally if you're feeling insecure, there's a reason for it. Either you have low self esteem or your gf doesn't provide you whatever your require in a relationship. If you feel generally confident about yourself, I'd move on, because you're going to have to beat up a lot of dudes in the future it seems.

NEVER HIT THE OTHER GUY. Be a man and control you temper then find a way to get back at her (or at least regain your pride).
I think it's more damaging to fk with someone's psyche than to beat up their other lover. Let her walk in on you fking or have her blow you then break up with her or pack her [censored] up neatly when she's not around and don't say a word to her.
