Re: ughh took a shot..
OK Troy, here's a serious response to the hands u posted:
Hand 1: Very unlucky, but I still check/fold the flop (or at least save half a buyin when ur flatted on the flop). You're almost never good here. Hand 2: Horrible river call. The was the absolute worst card in the deck. I honestly would have check/folded A5 here. Hand 3: I'm not one for folding OESFD's but if there ever was a spot, this was it. You're drawing at the ass end of the straight, when there's a pretty good chance he already has the straight anyway. Furthermore, if you hit your J and he has a set, you're not getting paid. So basically, you're paying half your stack to chase a flush here. Terrible. Hand 4: Unlucky again but I think you made 2 errors here: 1) Raise bigger pre-flop (at least pot sized to like $150). You're raise just looks like a big hand and you're giving great implied odds if they can hti a big flop. 2) You severely over-played your hand on the flop. IDK any of these players but if they have any idea what they're doing, you will never get called on the flop unless you're beat. That shove is massive and basically screams AA/KK. The better play would likely be to make a re-raise to around $14-$1600. That raise is still uncallable but now if he shoves, you can be 99% sure you're crushed and can save a full buyin (albeit at a steep price). Hand 5: Again, I'd raise bigger pre to help take away implied odds, since you'll be OOP the rest of the hand. Your logic isn't bad by any means and I make plays like this a lot, but this probably isn't the spot to do it. Even if he is semi-bluffing with a hand like 89, he's getting the odds to call your all-in w/ 14 outs (even odds). I'd be more apt to do this if the board wasn't so draw heavy (i.e. - T-T-2 rainbow). Hand 6: Why are you raising that turn? Hand 7: I like trying to get a c/r in on the turn (especially if he's a floater). Calling the re-raise on the river is read-dependent. |
