Re: best use of bodog points?
You're not missing anything, they are.
They very occasionally allow you to exchange points for a bonus to clear, and they have tourneys every night for points where you can win T$s. Last year they had unbelievably good freerolls tourneys to win WSOP seats. The overlays were huge (100%+) and you could buy in for cash or Bodog Points. I emailed customer service and they were planning to offer them this year, but thanks to the Evil Empire of Harrah's Entertainment they didn't. |

Re: best use of bodog points?
On Thursday, Friday, and I think Saturday nights, the 400 point MTTs pay out 1/10 of the field for T$109, instead of 1/17 like earlier in the week. These MTTs are called the 100K Special Points Satellite or something like that. Start at 7pm EST.

My 148,000 bodog points are fun to look at. That's about it.

Re: best use of bodog points?
They also occasionally have promotions when you're allowed to convert points to cash. It last happened around x-mas 2006, and this was the deal:
"Each block of 667 points is worth $10 and points are converted in minimum blocks of $10 up to a maximum of $200." So if you have 148,000, points, this wouldn't be much help. The points are good for small stakes players who are interested in playing T$ satellites with ~$10 equity, but aren't much good for high stakes players. It's kind of like the opposite of Stars, where the high stakes players are obsessed with points, but the small-stakes players might as well not even look at their balance. |

play the 1000 point tourneys, one player for every 10 gets $270 in tourney credits. field is very soft too.
