Default seven-deuce bounty (low content)

seven-deuce bounty is the greatest game ever. some of the sickest hands i've ever seen went down while we had the bounty on. last night in the 25-50-100 game at bellagio i saw 72o put 10k aipf against KK. good times.

(ps: feel free to move or lock this, fsu/azk.)

you get extra bounty money if you win a hand with 72.

Does it need to get to showdown?

I used to do this in limit games back in the day...like 80 160 limit game with 100 dollar per player 27 bounty. You win the pot, no matter how, you get 100 dollars per guy involved.

win a pot in any way and everyone who has opted in the game pays you the pre-agreed-upon amount. all fold to you on the button, you raise and blinds fold, you show 72 and collect. you get a walk in the bb, you collect. when we play it in 10-20 it's usually a 100 dollar bounty, last night in the 25-50-100 it was a $300 bounty. it leads to hands like these happening:

10-20; raise to 80, reraise to 300. first raiser then makes it 1k straight. reraiser says, "damn, i was just trying to win the bounty," shows 72 and folds. first raiser goes, "that's what i thought you had," and shows J4o.

10-20; raise to 60, couple callers, absurd reraise to 500. everyone at the table's like, "looks like 72!" he gets one call. flop comes J92, check, reraiser bets 1k, call. turn is another 2! check, 3k all-in, call. we're all expecting the huge pf reraiser to turn over 72, but he shows KK; the check-caller flips up 72. he doubles up and collects another 100 from each. well-played, sir.

25-50-100; couple limpers, guy raises to 900, button reraises to 3900, first raiser thinks a long time and shoves about 10k total. button has 72 and now has to call. didn't win tho.

btw, you'll see them playing 72-bounty on next season's high stakes poker. in an effort to win the bounty one player will bluff off over 100k. into quads.
