10 7 suited
I was in position for a steal, what should i do here. I have been playing pretty tight, and showing down good hands.

I did raise pre flop representing an ok hand. I always feel like i have to make these moves in order to obtain a nice sold stack to give me the best chance of making the top 3. The texture of the flop isnt that great, and i knew he had an ace, but i couldnt let it go. Whats the best possible way to play these situations. There was some fold equity "i believed with my push because i did raise preflop and could of hand any number of hands. I could be wrong. |

Re: 10 7 suited
steal is OK with these cards, i guess. I probably muck them with your stack size, no reason to be desperate to steal with cards that dont hold up well, and you arent getting implied odds to make a monster.
I shove the flop, so you get to see both cards. 12+ outs on the flop is a monster and you can get it all in, plus any fold equity is gravy. (not to mention the overlay in the pot) Seriously, cbetting the flop isnt that great, get it all in instead. just my opinion |

Re: 10 7 suited
I dont like raising to steal here really this early with this bad of a hand. Later this is fine but I think its too much to risk this early on just for a steal. No way you should go allin on the flop, way too big of an overbet. On the turn I probably check and fold to a big bet, the guy obviously has a hand and aint gonna fold and you are gonna get it in way behind if you play it like you did.

Re: 10 7 suited
Fold preflop works for me. ok for steal in sb but not from cutoff this early. Patience works.

Re: 10 7 suited
I think you played it perfectly on all streets.
Preflop raise is OK. On the turn, you have to push as you have decent odds to hit your probable 13 outs and you may have FE. |

Re: 10 7 suited
this is an almost impossible spot. In a situation like this whatever you do and miss your draw you will look bad, whatever you do and your draw comes you look like a genius. Really with the pot size and stack sizes there is no great way to play this hand other than fold PF. Once you flop the FD and GS you are committed to the hand.

Re: 10 7 suited
Preflop it depends on table dynamics and they way you have been playing, but im a LAG and I usually like opening 107s from CO.
Postflop I would play it same as you. On the turn you have a lot of outs and counting FE its probably a +EV shove. |
