I have this problem as well. The only way to counter it seems to be to make a killer first shot and knock enough of the yellow balls off to counter the fact that the computer is going to take out at least 2 of your on its first shot.

There must be a trick to becoming more consistent on the break but I can't figure it out. Sometimes I can leave only one or two on the table and other times I only take out one.
