wsop dealers...already?
Friday, 01st of June 2007 01:39 PM
(Michael Cheser reporting) I just witnessed a seating fiasco. Todd Brunson arrived late and was trying to find his table (#37). But his seat at the table beneath the "37" sign was taken. On a piece of paper taped beneath the sign was written "74". So that was table 74, not 37. When he got to the table that was designated #37 (again, handwritten), Antonio Esfandiari was sitting in his seat. The floor was called. They checked Antonio's seating ticket, and it actually read table #31. So he had been playing at the wrong table. They moved him over to table 31 and Todd sat down in his place, grumbling about dealers not checking seat tickets before allowing players to their table. pokerpages.com don't berate your dealers....good luck everybody |

Re: wsop dealers...already?
One dealer didn't check the card, a player was sitting at the wrong satellite table.

Re: wsop dealers...already?
Seems pretty funny that it happened to be another name player that was sitting in his seat, though perhaps that is the only reason something like this was even newsworthy.

Re: wsop dealers...already?
Of course when you ask a "name player" to show you the ceir card and ID you often get a bunch of grief from them -- you see they only want you do that to the other players -- they expect special treatment. (not all of them, many of them are very reasonable)

[/ QUOTE ] Same here...our dealer was actually a chip runner from CA...very nice guy but not a dealer. We also had to teach him how to race the 25s (which he forgot to do at the proper level...but we caught it) and how to make a side pot. |

Pokerews on Event 9 - $1,500 Omaha Hi Lo:
[ QUOTE ] Some Editorial Comments Apparently some of the play so far hasn't been up to the standards of certain people, including one dealer who said something that elicited this comment from "Minneapolis" Jim Meehan: "We paid $1500 to enter this event just to hear the dealer say, 'You morons, I've never seen donkeys like you in my entire life!'?" No word on whether Meehan agreed with that comment. [/ QUOTE ] |

Give Harrah's a break. I mean, they have been overwhelmed by the the newness of running the WSOP and with the crowds and are handling best they can. Oh wait, that was their excuse 2 years ago, and they did a better job then than last year OR this year. Harrah's sucks and so does whoever is running that show.
