Default 2.75MTT, two big stacks, Button vs SB

Haven't been at the table long (~1.5 orbits) and villain won the first 2 hands I saw, once with an overbet shove 3bet PF and once where he raised PF then overbet shoved flop (didn't show either time). I won the only pot I played at this table 2 hands ago when it was limped around to my BB, I checked then raised the SB's minbet on the flop and everyone folded. Thoughts on all streets please.

If your going to call the flop raise, and then call each additional street no matter what comes, since its unlikely a jack will come for you, I think your better off 3 betting the flop back at him.

Your thinking is that he signifies a bluff with the checkminraise on a dry flop, and thus will call him down?

Personally, I make it 4200 and fold to a push with jacks, but make it 4200 calling a shove with QQ+ or trips+

Honestly, I didn't consider raising the flop for very long. It seems to me as though his range was polarized as sets/air with the flop c/mr. He 3bets QQ+ PF almost always, but A8 type hands would be calling PF. I decided to call and take a pot control line since I'm either way ahead or way behind. A few KQ/QJ type hands got there on the turn but they are a fairly small portion of his range. I also considered raising the small river bet but firing 3 barrels there confused me so I called.

I believe you played it fine, as SB isnt beting more on every street he might be getting stubborn with a stupid bluff, or just playing a PP this way some kind of block/ value bet. Yeah no reason to play for stacks with JJ.
