At least you are in Vegas so just head to the bank, withdraw everything, place it on black. Rinse and repeat until you are richer than Bill Gates. [/ QUOTE ] seamless |

Re: BEAT: Promised something I can\'t deliver
What exactly do you want to do in this intranet site?
If it's a simple site to link everything together some html and javascript should be all you need and shouldn't take more than a couple of days to research and complete. (.css files are also helpful here) If, however, you are looking for more complex things, such as submitting forms, storing data, or accessing data, you will need to know some .asp, .php, or some Perl/Java/C++ with cgi and server side scripting. Something that will take some considerable time and research. If you feel overwhelmed with the project I would come clean and tell your boss that you are over your head on this one and either a) scrap the idea or b) get some help from someone more knowledgeable on your team. |

Beat: Thinly veiled "BBV4L HELP ME" post Brag: It appears to be working [/ QUOTE ] LOL, pretty much ya...this was my weak attempt at posting the question in here w/o it getting immediately moved to another forum....apparently as long as you phrase it in the form of a brag or a beat, its good to go... The problem is just one form...i've created the form, it looks great, just like I need it to, I just don't know the 2nd step, basically so that when they click "submit" it does something with it. Server side scripting is not an option...it needs to be client side. either emailing it, printing it, "saving it as" on the server, it doesn't matter, it just needs to be done with one click of the mouse when they click submit...i knew ZERO about this stuff yesterday, and at this point, I've got a fully functional XML site that is awesome, this form request is literally all thats left.... |
