My initial thoughts are CO turned a straight (5 6) or slow played his own set, 7's or 8's.

i figured his range here was 56, 77, 88, A8 played crazily, or some turned str8flush draw, or maybe an overpair that he didnt 3bet pf?

we're getting ~2-1 as about a 60/40 dog. the dead money is the pot after the flop + your turn bet.

villain could also be bluffing a FD or overplaying a slowplay overpair. this is a pretty easy call, but it doesnt feel good.
