I often 3bet this preflop but not essential.
I think flop is okay, but I check the turn for pot control. You took the aggro line which is good but you GOTTA fold the river as villains line is super strong. This is not AJ. |

raising UTG he should either have a PP or AK AQ AJ at the worst usually.
All the PPs are going to be scared of that ace unless they hit a set, or maybe if they are stubborn and have QQ or JJ here. if he's loose (which is why reads are important to have before you start playing large pots with one pair hands) you are really stretching it to see him here with anything less than A 10. You are probably not going to get three streets of value out of this hand, a worse hand will probably not be calling all three streets. I like a check behind and small bet on the river you might get a call with a worse hand and you keep the pot size under control. I don't think you want to pot getting this big with the hand you have. |
