1st hand pre flop steal attempt is fine.
I would call the flop bet and try to get to a showdown cheaply, though CR to put him out of hand is ok too, you need to make it bigger though.
He may have an A with a better kicker, but might also just have a K given your read.

2nd hand your M is too low IMO, you need to shove or fold pre flop.
On the flop, if you are going to try to force him off the hand, I think the CR should be bigger, maybe to 1.5 pot size or something like that.But given you're on a draw to the nut flush then just call given the tiny bet.
