I have long thought that this show is all about personal agendas. Every single character has his or her own motives to do what it is they want, be it short-term or long-term. The only one who never seemed to have one was Melfi, until now. When she realized she's been all wrong about Tony all these years, she pushes Tony out. I don't know if she had another option, but for the first time, she did something to push her agenda.

Wouldn't be surprised if we saw a dream ep to end the series, possibly featuring Tony's mother.

Yea, I'm almost positive that he didn't know that Bobby had already been whacked. I think they tried to kill them at about the same time for that exact reason.
