Instead of wearing one big heavy garment and getting very hot and then taaking it off and getting very cold, you wear a three garments: an undershirt, a long sleeve shirt and a sweater, and have a jacket draped around your chair, for example. If you get hot take the sweater off. If you are cold, put the jacket on over the sweater or take the sewater off and put the jacket on.
