Re: Great anonymous interview about being a broke player
Josh started posting on his blog again (josharieh.com)
If you read his entry on the 5k mixed hold'em event you can clearly see that this isn't Josh. He can't stop talking about how much fun he's having, how excited he is about poker, how great it was to eat dinner with his family over the break etc. etc. So yea, probably not arieh... Stak |

Re: Great anonymous interview about being a broke player
This thread has made me realizes that like every single live pro is recently divorced -
Mortensen Colclough Flack Jett Gazes Arieh ... I'm sure there's more. Not a good lifestyle for a relationship. |

Re: Great anonymous interview about being a broke player
This thread has made me relize how many likely candidates there are for broke high stakes pros. In some ways, that's the broader point of the article.

Re: Great anonymous interview about being a broke player
of all those mentioned so far it seems arieh fits best.
on a side note: is there any pro that Lindgren doesn't stake? |

[/ QUOTE ] matusow was on my immediate right at the start of the 1500 nlhe event, and we talked about all sorts of stuff the first two hours, one of them being all the different people backing large numbers of people. he said he knew at least 16 people lindgren is backing. he had half of carlos' action in the wptc. edit: i should also mention that 99% of the posts in this thread are completely ridiculous. if the article isn't a made up one, it's not hard to narrow this down to a very small number of players. some of the names you people have suggested are hilarious. |

Re: Great anonymous interview about being a broke player

This has Josh Arieh written all over it. Lindgren has been staking him for a loooong time. He is married with 3 children and both their parents live in Atlanta. I've seen him playing 400/800 mixed games at Bellagio w/Chau and Chan. I know he splurged on cars and a house after 2004-2005. He does play online. I know last year he talked about moving out to Vegas permanently. The overall tone of the interview sounds like Josh as well. However, he did not win anything big last year except for a 500k Bodog tourney. This is all wild speculation of course, I have no inside information. [/ QUOTE ] Best Guess yet Didnt he make a few Omaha cash ins |
