I wrote PokerStars this email to try to get compensation for the blinds going up in my SNGs during the outage yesterday:

A review of your play for the afternoon of 6/3/2007 showed that you were affected by the mass disconnection. Accordingly, a $1682.00 refund has been given to you for tournaments: 51961867, 51958401, 51961456, 51962345, 51959268, 51962471, and 51963668. No refunds are given for tournaments in which you finish in the money, since you are already showing a profit in those cases. While the disconnection is frustrating, we know, we can not engage in "what if" speculation about how you might have faired had the disconnection not occurred. Of course, in four out of seven of your "money finishes", you won; it is not likely you could have done much better than first place We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your understanding. Regards, Dan M. PokerStars Support Team They truly went above and beyond what I expected them to do in this situation. Just thought I'd give them their due respect by posting this. |
