How would the old man have felt if he took your money?

Donate the money you won to charity. Put his addiction to losing to good use. You'll feel better.

ever stacked a retarded guy? yeah, come back when you have and talk about feeling bad.

But this isn't so bad at all. After all, the guy is retarded, so he's hardly going to spend much time fretting about his losses, is he? Give him a lollipop and he'll be over the moon again.

yea I'm teh ghey and I'm feeling pretty crummy about myself right now...like I said I've never felt bad for a player ever in my life.

[/ QUOTE ]

This happened to me once - it was this last christmas day, and I took down two large pots at the Commerce 9/18 from an old guy, and I kinda felt sorry for him as he reached into his wallet to rebuy. Then I ate a cookie and felt all better.

He was down at least 2k in less than 3 hours. I felt really bad for the guy,he was about 80, crusty wearing dirty clothes and didn't even understand the game.

[/ QUOTE ]

Nice levelling by the old fella. Expect him to be back soon and take all your $$$.

Hey, man, don't beat yourself up for being human. Some of us poker players still have one (a human) buried down deep, and you found yours. That's a good thing. Also, don't feel bad for not giving his money back: taking their money is the nature of the beast, and one can't learn how to play without losing some, so maybe you boosted his learning curve...

If you hadn't taken his money then one of the other players would have. That's a fact. He also knew all the repercussions when he sat down, so why should you feel sorry for him?

I provide for me and the people close to me.
He provide for him and the people close to him.
That's just the way it works.

When you win money from a family man, you feel you're stealing from his kids ? Do something for a few kids in your life for some of the money.
You want to make an old man happy? Treat your grandpa to something nice for some of the money.

Just remember that you would never be able to be as generous to the people close to you if it wasn't for your poker winnings, that you know for sure, but you can never know for sure what any of your opponents would have done with their winnings/savings...
