This sounds retarded. Have never heard of this being considered bad manners or impolite.
On a side note, it is funny when poker players say Good luck" before a big hand, or all in, when of course they are really hoping for the 100% opposite.

I agree. I've often wondered about this, and I can see where people might find this weird; as it's truly inscincere, i.e. u want them to lose to you, lol.

In the case of the original OP, when he told you the second time not to wish him luck, you should have responded:

"well ok then, I hope you lose your entire roll. Have fun!" and then smile [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
