I have been playing for just a few months and the one thing that i have never really been too sure about was the best way to trap an opponent into betting against your huge hand. I think i have summed it down to 2 different ways but i wonder which one is entirely the best way.
Is it: A.Constantly checking to your opponent hoping he will decide to bet his weak hand. B.Useing your table playing stlye history(such as aggressive playing style)to good use.For an example say a player would usually bet with nothing and he decided to trap by betting and making another player beleive that he has nothing here as well. I suppose both ways are effective but can someone help with which one is the best? |

If live, follow this two step system.
Step 1. Grow a beard Step 2. When bet into and holding the nuts, begin stroking your beard, as this conveys a lack of confidence. Then after a few minutes of hemming and hawing, announce a raise. Works every time. |

"it depends" It depends on the situation, and it depends on the villain, it depends on the stakes, the cards, the board, how the table has been playing, your table image, the villain's table image... Don't limit yourself into a box thinking "choice A vs B". Take the time to focus on learning fundamentals. I think your real answer is this... focus on your opponent, learn their tendencies, and bet or check based on what you think/know they'll do in a given situation, i.e. play the player. |

type something into the chat box first.
like if a possible flush hits but you have a full house, type in "you better not have hit that flush on me" and then raise all in. they'll never see it coming. |
