Default Preflop raising with JJ, TT, 99

When/if to raise with these cards has always been a matter of question for me. I used to raise with these cards more often then not but they were two of my biggest losers (JJ & TT).

Lately I've been limping with them more often then not and I find that i'm losing a lot less with them. Is this a worthwhile trade off though? Am I giving up equity by limping and releasing when I can put someone on a higher pair? Or does it make more sens to raise and get guys out of the hand with A-x, QT, and those types of hands.

Part of the problem is the c-bet I usually lay after I come in with the PFR. Maybe an altered stategy of raising and then a probe bet? Or even no check and see what happens? I don't feel great about a probe bet because those seem to get chewed up and spit out when playing online more so than B&M.

If it helps my PFR% for these is:
JJ = 74.19%
TT = 65%
99 = 57%

Out of those 99's are my biggest winners followed by TT which is less of a winning hand but still positive, and then there is JJ which is a losing hand over 8,000 hands for me. Thanks for any suggestions or thoughts in advance.

so its always a raise for you guys? Or is this more of a situational raise? Are your percentages higher than mine? Is it an anomaly that the 99's which I raise less make me more money? Or is that a function of the hidden value of when they hit a set?

Yes, you want to be raising more pre flop with these but its sounds like your problem is post flop.
You need to think about what it means when someone calls/raises your C bet. Does your opponent like to float the flop?
Look at the flop texture, is he on a draw?
Will he call with a worse hand thinking hes ahead?

I think these hands should be raised nearly 100% of the time preflop. This is not where you are going wrong with the hand, your problem is playing them after the flop. Whether to give up there are continue with a C-Bet depends on many factors, like who is in, how many are in, and what the flop is. By raising preflop, you will win much bigger pots when you set up.

raise them preflop and learn how to play them after the flop. If u dont make profit with them while you are raising, u have a leak and if U want to be a winner in online poker u need to learn how to play them profitable, and the optimal play is often to raise these hands more often than not.

if u start limping these hands u are pretty much saying, 'im giving up, i cant play'

What levels/sites do you play that youre having trouble making money with these hands? Also 8000 hands is a very small sample size.
