internet lounges at WSOP like in 2006?
So I assume with the online ban that there is not a full tilt lounge, pokerstars, etc... etc.. like there was last year that had the free food , drinks, clothing and internet access? Just curious.

I didn't notice any lounges. The new large kitchen is located where many of the lounges used to be.

Ladbrokes are providing lounge access as part of the package for their winners or at least advertising it so expect there will be some?

Re: internet lounges at WSOP like in 2006?
I don't expect any lounges from the Europe-facing online sites (i.e. Ladbrokes, BetFair, PokerRoom.com/bwin.com, etc.) to open until July 4 or July 5.
As for the sites that still do real-money business in the U.S.: Harrah's will NOT rent convention space to any of them. PokerStars.net in particular does not have any marketing employee at the 2007 WSOP. They are staying in either London or Costa Rica. The company that did marketing/PR for UB in 2006, LoudVision of Toronto, disconnected their phones as of April. I did NOT notice any UB/AbsolutePoker reps at the 2007 WSOP. |

I have been told PokerStars will have a suite for the Main Event (I'm not sure about before that). It's not at Rio. Dunno if it will have internet or what.
I'm hoping it does. Ryan |
