I will not say anything bad about the OP because he put the cliff notes at the top which I think should be standard. [/ QUOTE ]I disagree, cliff notes usually contain spoilers and if they're on the top it's easy to accidentally read them when you intend to read the post. |

Re: happiest moment in life, getting out after being trapped in small space
hahahaha this is pretty funny.
Last summer the morning of my flight to Vegas the doorknob to my room fell off. This left me w/ pretty much no options. So, I opened a pretty small window in my room. To do so you havta turn a lever which causes a piece of metal to push the window open (this creates a small space). Anyway, I put some clothes in a plastic bag and throw it out the window. Following this, I try to jump out the window, but realize that I barely fit. I try putting my legs through first, and attempt to lower myself down. Unfortunately, My torso gets stuck b/w the metal thing holding up the window and the wall. I can't see the ground and have no idea what to do. Ohhhh ya, and I'm only in my boxers--so I'm stuck hanging there in my boxers. I got pretty freaked out b/c if the metal part of the window collapsed under my weight, I prolly woulda fallen onto my neck/head. Anyway, I somehow managed to force myself through the opening and landed on my feet (followed by falling onto my knees and hands). I still have three scars on my hand and one on my side from where the metal cut me. Pretty messed up. O ya, and I ran horribly in Vegas, as you would think given the beginning of the trip. |

Next time just pop the hinge pins out. [/ QUOTE ] door opens out, so they were on the other side. i think the easiest option is using a credit card, or other tool to open the door. |

Foot + Door = Freedom, and I dont give a [censored] if the "door opens to the inside"...those are the words of a no-ball-pussy-loser...break the [censored] door jam.
I had to do this to a door going from garage into house, and I must say I felt like a huge badass after I did it |

Quick situation evaluation: 1) due to the hole where the knobs used to be there is enough air passage + the space between the floor and the carpet in the adjacent room. There is no fear of dying from suffocation. [/ QUOTE ] Lucky for you the knobs were missing or you would have suffocated for sure in your airtight bathroom |

[/ QUOTE ] No, door opens in. Guids is right. Either the door opens in and you can pop the hinges, or door opens out and you can kick through it (hopefully.) |
