calling range after isolation raise re-raised in 20+R
Vil # 2 is well known player and has been very aggro lately, but I have not as yet seen him re-raise. He is tourney CL. I have M about 11
1# Is my first reraise not enough (should I shove?) 2# Can I justify calling here based on player and stack considerations PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t600 (8 handed) internettexasholdem.com UTG (t25440) UTG+1 :Vil # 2/ (t3036) MP1 (t8250) MP2 (t18971) Hero (t14640) Button (t19018) SB (t12372) BB :Vil # 1/ (t83898) Preflop: Hero is CO with T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. 1 fold, UTG+1 :Vil # 2 raises to t2986, 2 folds, Hero raises to t5372, 2 folds, BB Vil # 1 raises to t70200, |

Tough decision actually...I might just let this go here. I think you're 50/50 on a race maybe, or against another pp.

Re: calling range after isolation raise re-raised in 20+R
Im pretty sure you should be shoving here. Your reraise is way too small, hes never folding and you are giving him great odds. Did the first raiser fold to the reraise and if he did you have to call after investing 1/3rd of your stack preflop and the odds are over 2:1 by my calculations.

Re: calling range after isolation raise re-raised in 20+R
Mmm,am I reading this totally wrong? It is sat and I've had a few drinks but did UTG+1 raise to 2986 with 3036 in total chips? If so,he's prob not folding.....Your rr is definately too small,I would have pushed here to isolate.
As played,I'd just puke here. You already got 1/3 of your stack in here, but could so easily be dominated.I guess I'd call and hate myself. You can hope that you are up against 2 overs and smaller pp I guess,vil#2 rr could be an attempt to get you off your hand. Next time, push the first time. |
