by just calling it also looks like your on a draw, so not only does this disguise your hand it also increases the likelyhood that the villain may shove with his draw on the turn.

Also by just calling your not going to pay off his flush if he makes it on the turn, thus with this line your only folding to a flush card, other scare cards i pay off.
