COMPUTER RESOLUTION TOTALLY F'D UP!!!

K so I just recently installed 2gigs of memory before this happened, if that means anything.

I have a 21" Gateway widescreen monitor if that matters any.

About a week ago I restart my computer, and the resolution for some reason went WAY down all on it's own. I normally us 1680x1054 resolution, and when I go to change it, the option for this resolution is not even there.

Now I am stuck using 1600x1200 and have NO idea how to fix this.

off the top of my head: make sure you have the latest drivers for your video card and monitor installed. If you do already you might want to try a reinstall.

How would I check for drivers for my video card? I have a dell 1310 it's super basic.

go into the device manager and check see what it says for 'display adapter'. Then you can google the model number. If it is an nvidia card I would just hit get the latest detonator drivers from the nvidia website.

As for monitor, just find a model number and google it to get the drivers.

None of this is seeming to work, I can't find drivers for anything that will work.

OH, forgot to mention it's a dell E310. Also, I've now downloaded every video driver from Dell that could possible work and it's still not helping. PLEASE HELP!!!
