Actually, you are not the president of his fan club. I am president emeritus and I know the president very well. Stop steering folks wrong. The only charge for admission to the fan club is that you read THE BOOK. (Chen-Ankenmann)
Hoss does not hold grudges although if one should be foolish enough to try to get a rise out of him he has been known to keep one at the table for a very long time. As a former collegiate wrestler and a current multi-black belt in Kung Fu his stamina is awe-inspiring.
You are right about the book.
You are right about the river.

admission to the hoss_TBF fan club doesn't have a fixed price. all you have to do is give him 200 hands of HU action at 200-400+. lucky for me, I ran hot and took $35K off him.

also, i've been instructed by Hoss to give you a little insight about his river decisions.

When facing a river bet, this is what Hoss does to make his decision:

If he can name off 2 or more hands he beats within 5 seconds, he calls.
If he can name off 5 or more within 5 seconds, he raises and calls a 3 bet.
Lastly, if he can name 10 or more within 5 seconds, he raises, and caps facing a threebet.

hope this helps.

[/ QUOTE ]

this river strategy seems either bogus (not really what he does) or just simply bad. for one, if he lists 10 hands he beats on the river he raises and supposedly caps a 3bet, even though when he's 3bet he gains alot more information and a cap becomes incorrect alot of the time.
