So maybe I am weak but I don't think any of those moments are not worthy of a cry. Edited to add We are Marshall: where the whole town is chanting outside the commitee meeting & yes Armagedon too [/ QUOTE ] lol... you nailed almost every one of mine right there.

So many I can't remember, so I tried to estimate what percentage of the movies I've seen have I cried at, maybe 1-2%? That's a lot of movies over 40 years.
Here are some not mentioned yet: Movies you would probably disagree with: Contact (didn't even know Sagan wrote it; father-Jody scene; I don't expect anyone else to agree, but I was pleasantly surprised by my own reaction to part where she 'meets' the alien) Artificial Intelligence: AI (two of my closest friends thought this was the crappiest movie they ever saw, but if you have lost a parent, then this will make you bawl your eyes out) Gosh, nearly all of the recent Oscar winners: 1939 Gone With the Wind 1943 Casablanca 1975 One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest 1978 Coming Home 1979 Kramer vs Kramer (especially if that happened to you) 1980 Ordinary People 1982 Ghandi 1983 Terms of Endearment 1984 Amadeus 1987 Last Emperor, Moonstruck 1988 Rainman 1989 My Left Foot (Daniel Day-Lewis) 1989 Born on the Fourth of July 1992 Scent of a Woman 1996 Shine 1997 Titanic (I admit it, was with gf); As Good as it Gets 2002 Monster's Ball Close, but no tears: Dog Day Afternoon (ending) Movies where I can't remember whether I cried during them: Glengarry Glenross Mississippi Burning Gattaca Out of Africa Kiss of the Spiderwoman The English Patient Shakespeare in Love Any movie stemming from David Mamet is great... Movies I haven't seen but I know I'd cry at (yeah, gay): Amistad Sophie's Choice Brief Encounter (1945) Norma Rae Coal Miner's Daughter Tender Mercies Children of a Lesser God Driving Miss Daisy (??) Movies that are enormously evocative but didn't literally cry at: The Graduate (ending) Midnight Cowboy Bladerunner Network The all-time biggest tear jerker was Awakenings, twice, when the De Niro character gains consciousness and when he loses it. Me bawling helped my gf fall in love with me, lol... There must be 50 others, lol, I tried to look at a movie directory, ha ha... Off-topic: A hilarious and overlooked ingeniously written comedy that won June Holliday a Best Actress Oscar in 1950: Born Yesterday I can't remember writing that good since the Bogart movies.

Cripes, there are so many more movies I forgot...
Iceman (1984) Born Free (1966, great for kids) lol, so many great movies... Touch of Class 1972, (I've never seen it) Off topic, depressing movies: There was an incredibly depressing B&W movie around 1965 where Sidney Poitier was dating a blind white woman, I can't find the title. Another one in the 60s ended with a couple finally making a run for the Berlin Wall and getting shot. Lol, who cares? They just grossed me out when I was a kid and they've haunted me ever since, just have to get it off my chest.
