calling with low outs when raised on flop
ATo UTG (4handed)
I raise....only BB calls (haven't seen him get out of line too much) flop J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] opponent check raises me on flop. I do not have backdoor...getting 7:1 hand worth 4.5 outs after discounting.....is calling a leak? |

Re: calling with low outs when raised on flop
The key on this board IMO is how much he has and c/r's gut shots. If he does raise them frequently, then you basically have to call at least the flop and turn so long as the turn isn't terrible. You should be showing own a lot as well.

Re: calling with low outs when raised on flop
I definitely call the flop raise. Whether I show down this hand is dependent on the board and my opponent. If my opponent isn't the semibluffing type, I'll often let this go on the turn if I don't improve. If my opponent is aggressive, I'll call down a blank turn and river card. Blank cards would be any non-diamond card that doesn't hit a straight draw hand.
