I check here and try to get to showdown as cheap as possible. If we make a bet and get raised we are in a very akward position.

Re: 50NL T-T flops an overpair but no one is getting out
I agree with the check, but I'm always lost if someone bets. I guess with no reads it's a fold, unless they make it attractive enough to stay in for one more card?

Re: 50NL T-T flops an overpair but no one is getting out
I would bet the pot on the flop, particularly with 2 players still in the hand, and there being possible flush/straight draws. I would do this because I don't mind winning the hand right there rather than playing oop v. co, I want to charge draws, and I want to get full value out of a top pair hand.
On the turn, I would make it $12, and fold to any raise. I would not check the turn because I still think there is a strong possibility that both villains were drawing to a flush or different straight, or that you are up against a top pair hand. |

Re: 50NL T-T flops an overpair but no one is getting out
Meh, I'm probably taking another stab at this pot as no one has given me any reason to think I'm behind. The 7 only helps 54 and T8. Moreover, if I check I'd have a tough decision if CO bets. I'd bet around $10 and expect to take it down a good percentage of the time. If I'm raised, I'm gone. If called, I shut down on river unless I make my straight.
Incidentally, I would have bet a little more on the flop. A $5 bet would have given you more info. about your opponents' hands. |

Re: 50NL T-T flops an overpair but no one is getting out
what powers players to put out weak @ss bets? i don't get it. you look weak, they will call w/ ATC to see what's going on. bet the pot. betting the pot, they'll often fold out bottom pair, MAYBE middle pair,
they will definately call w/ OESD, FD's, and maybe gutters. |

I would bet 14.
The 7 is pretty close to a blank and you can not afford to give a free card on this board against 2 opponents. |

Re: 50NL T-T flops an overpair but no one is getting out
What was I thinking? I didn't even notice the weak flop bet. Sorry. Definitely bet more. Make it at least $5 if not pot. That bet is way too weak, and I agree that almost ATC are staying in.
As played, I'd bet turn -- the $12 to $14 sounds good. Fold to a raise. If you had bet more on flop and been called by both, I would check turn. |
