because it's the looser end of the range. If I've never seen villian do this then I'm pretty much not calling here.

It doesn't really matter. If he ever does this with AQ calling is so obviously correct.

Edited.

Why on earth would you fold against the hand range that you listed?

i pretty much insta called, he had JJ and i missed. i dont really care about the outcome, im just looking for some insight from more experienced players on how and why they might play this differently. I didnt really see any way i could fold here but i dont have that much experience and when you lose, you can second guess if you made the correct move. i appreciate any insight you guys have.
thanks

With antes you're probably getting good enough odds to call vs. 77-QQ and you are dominating all the other stuff. The only two hands to worry about are AA and KK. But if he's playing AA/KK like this, he's losing a ton of money (hopefully this is obvious to everyone) because all of the hands we are calling with would have gone all-in anyway if he had just put in a standard raise, while a lot of the hands we are now folding we would have pushed with. Really a simple call for any thinking player.

Insta-call, btw. Don't second guess yourself. You made the right play.

Alright but all im saying he has a health chip stack, and he could pick a better spot to play. The guy isnt gonna go all in with crap, he has a hand at least AQ or higher, he has the same amount of chips as you, its most likely a race, if your not confident with your post flop skills, then yea maybe you can think that AK is a made hand. Im saying it again AK is only ACE HIGH, not saying its not a great hand, but it is only ACE HIGH.

It all depends on the read on they guy. If the guy is a ROCK and has not played a hand for 10 orbits, im probably gonna respect his hand. IF he is aggressive, then yea its a snap call. It all depends on your read.

If the guy is a rock, his range isn't that loose. That defined range MEANS he's not a rock.
