You have top pair plus the money end of an open ender. Bet the pot and see what happens. Remember, two of your straight outs Q&7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] are probably dirty though if you get action.

Sounds solid.

Alternative lines are to check into the field and see waht's out there, or the call the all-in.

Any thoughts on why you would check-and-see vs. bet-and-fold vs. bet-and-call?

Not by me ... Check and see looks like the best way to me b/c there are so many (micro) players out there, and its likly that such a board with 9 players will give a lot of action ...
if there is bet, raise, reraise, rereaise and 5 pushes in front of me I got an easy, cheap way to find out that I am not ahead right now and that my draw is most likly to be useless.

I usually bet .7 here and give up if anybody raises.

I also fire one bullet only if my flop bet is called unless I hit a non-spade straight on the turn, in which case I probably bet again.

Basically, there is a good chance nobody hit this, so I'll stab at it first. If I get action, then I give up on the turn if I don't improve.

OOP against too many opponents with a marginal hand to boot.
Check-and-see then find a table with some money on.
