econo lodge on kentucky is in the worst part of town ... but has just bought new posterpedic beds -these are really nice and the rooms are on the cheap end and the walk during the day time isn't terrible to whatever room you go to (besides borgata ldo)

Also check out holiday inn next to trop if you don't mind cabbing a lot. There are a ton of non-casino motels in AC.. don't pay more than 60-70 a (week) night though (100-150 on weekends). 1) a lot of places are rip offs 2) the prices are always negotiable.

There are a couple cheep motels right next to the trop that shouldn't cost more than $85 even on weekends.

You should check out places like the Red Roof Inn or the other semi-respectable places on the Black Horse Pike. There's places on the White Horse but I never pay attention and hardly ever drive that way. Most need a few weeks reservation.

Also, if possible coming down here during the week rather than weekend will save you tons, even during summer.

As far as the Holiday Inn, you don't need a cab for really anything if you're staying there. A $2 jitney ride will get you anywhere you'd want to be.

Use orbitz, or expedia, Search for Absecon NJ. It's the town just outside of AC. There are plenty of hotels to chose from. Farfield by marriot is usually priced about right. It's only a 5 min drive to the borgata.

I won't have a car, so I'd like something walking distance to a casino.

All of the cheap motels I've seen in Atlantic City are pretty dumpy. I don't think they are unsafe, and I don't mind staying there if I'm just going to play poker somewhere else the whole time, but I certainly wouldn't bring my wife there.

Then the only place i can recommend is the holiday Inn next to the trop. What limits are you looking to play?
